Our matching algorithm scores therapists by specialty fit, license validity in your state, real-time availability, therapeutic approach, and insurance acceptance. We don't just find therapists near you — we find therapists who are actually right for you.

Review your 3 matches

You receive 3 ranked therapist profiles: photo, bio, credentials, specialties, accepted insurance, session formats, and typical availability. Read them at your own pace. If none feel right, let us know — we'll re-run the match.

Pre-pay & book your slot

Choose your therapist and pay for your first session to secure your first-session slot. This is refundable if we can't match you within 14 days, or if your therapist cancels. The payment goes to your therapist if you no-show — which keeps everyone accountable.

Attend your first session

Show up — in person or on video. After this session, you continue directly with your therapist at their rate. MyTherapist has done its job. Your therapist handles billing (including insurance) going forward. No platform in the middle.
